The  History  of Photography

1. In the 1820's it used to take several hours to take one photo! It's amazing how now it only takes less then one second to take a shot.

2. Today we snap as many photos every two minutes as all of humanity did in the 1800s.

3. When taking pictures of children, the mothers often had to hold them still. Mothers often had to be hidden. One technique for this was having a sheet on their head.

4. Did you know the first color photograph was taken in 1861 by James Maxwell, who was a British physicist?

5. The most expensive camera ever to be sold was a rare 1923 Leica camera, which was sold fo $2.8 million at an auction in Vienna, Austria.

What  I  learned  in  Still Images

1. Aperature is how much light comes throught the opening. With a big aperature you will have more light and with a small aperature you get less light.

2. The shutter speed is how long the shutter is open for.

3. In pinhole photography, you have to converte negative images into positive images.

4. The exposure in a camera is like a triangle. In one corner is the aperature to determine the depth of field. In another corner is the IOS speed to determine the image noise. An in the third corner is the Shutter speed to determine how blurry the motion will be.

5. Material that is sensitive to light is put in the back of the camera.

6. There are many things to consider while taking a photo such as the different texture, space, value, and colour.
